In recognition of his remarkable contribution to Indian folk art, Kamal Dev received the State Award from Bihar Government in 2012–13. Over the years, he has created more than 2000 paintings, each narrating tales of devotion, nature, and life through vibrant natural colours and eco-friendly materials.
